Assistant Football Coaches Still Needed for Upcoming Season

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - The Minneapolis Warriors Adult Independent football team is seeking additional coaching staff to fill in some key roles for its upcoming football season.

Head coach Michael "MJ" Johnson said he is seeking assistant coaches to help with running drills at practices, advisement during football games, providing feedback from games, and help fulfill coach Johnson's overall vision for the Warriors on the football field.

“Assistant coaches are important because they allow players to get more out of practice by having more instruction and more people there to help them improve. They are vital during games to be another voice on the sidelines and in the locker room,” Johnson said on why every assistant coach is vital to the team.

“This is a volunteer position but comes with many great opportunities,” Johnson said.

Johnson said while coaching experience is not necessary, it’s a plus. The applicant should also have basic knowledge of football terms and rules, and have a positive outlook and focus on helping our athletes grow and succeed.

During the season, we hold practice every Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM in Fridley Minnesota and our games are on Saturdays. Home games are currently played at Irondale High School in New Brighton, Minnesota. For away games, outside of Minnesota, we travel and caravan to Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Missouri, and the Dakotas.

Complete the form at the following link and someone from our organization will get back to you right away.
